NC Based Rare Breed IPTV Shut Down by ACE

Popular IPTV Provider Rare Breed TV has been shut down by ACE (Alliance for Creativity & Entertainment) after agreeing to terminate service and pay a substantial fine.

This move is part of ACE’s ongoing campaign to eliminate unauthorized streaming operations. With the help of major studios, ACE tracked down those behind Rare Breed and took enforcement action directly in North Carolina.

Rare Breed IPTV was a well-known IPTV Provider, offering subscription plans for a small fee with 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, and yearly plans.

It gave users access to “28,000 Live Channels and 100,000+ Movies & TV Shows in 4K/FHD/HD/SD Quality”. On their website, they claimed the following:

Rare Breed TV is the best in the world, dedicated to achieving perfection and ensuring your satisfaction. We provide unmatched stability and reliability.

None of this was licensed properly which made the entire operation illegal under U.S. copyright laws. However, it appears their website is still functioning as users can visit it and choose one of the different plans they provide.

ACE Took Legal Action With Studio Support

ACE represents dozens of major companies in the film and television industry, including leaders like Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros., and Amazon. With these companies backing its investigations, ACE was able to pinpoint the individuals running Rare Breed IPTV and initiate legal discussions.

The group made contact with the operators in North Carolina and laid out the consequences of continuing to operate an illegal service. After negotiations, the parties agreed to a settlement that includes the following:

Larissa Knapp, Executive Vice President and Chief Content Protection Officer at the Motion Picture Association, said the result is meant to act as a warning.

This enforcement action sends a strong message to piracy operators worldwide. Operating an illegal streaming service comes with serious consequences—including lawsuits, substantial financial penalties, and permanent shutdown.
